considerably benefit from this improved electrical infrastructure. I'm happy to
assist this effort by allocating Rs 50 lakh from the MP fund. This hospital
will receive an additional grant of Rs. 5 crore in appreciation of the
meritorious work of the medical staff, said the Congress MP.

First trip to Wayanad after being reinstated as a member of
parliament: Rahul Gandhi's welcoming celebration
Rahul Gandhi's first trip to Wayanad following the
restoration of his parliamentary membership was a historic occasion. Rahul
Gandhi was welcomed back as the MP of Wayanad following the Supreme Court's
stay judgment on August 4 reversing his conviction in the 'Modi' surname
statement case.
Rahul Gandhi's two-day trip began with a stop at the
Coimbatore airport before he continued on to his destination. He had made a
stop in Udhagamandalam (Ooty) on his itinerary. He emphasized his close ties to
the Wayanad people in his speech to the residents of his parliamentary
district. Using the occasion to criticize the BJP, Rahul Gandhi claimed that
efforts to put distance between him and the Wayanad people only deepen their
affinity.
"The BJP and the RSS are unable to understand the
significance of family unity. In reality, their attempts to split us apart will
bring us closer together. Rahul Gandhi's bond with Wayanad won't be weakened by
being disqualified; on the contrary, it would be strengthened, the speaker
explained.
